South Shields Harriers Yachts Races

South Shields Harriers organise the Yachts Handicap Series every winter. This is quite an informal set of races beginning in October with the Captains vs Vice-Captains scratch race then the handicap races are every second Tuesday of the month from November through to April. You can enter any or all of the races and your best 4 results count towards the overall placings at the end of the series.

To take part just turn up at Gypsies Green Stadium on the night, 50p entry fee. There is a short race of approx 1.25 miles intended for junior competitors which starts at 6.45pm then the longer race of approx 3 miles. Wear a white or light coloured top to compete.
