The Cock Crow 5k is an accurately-measured 5km multi-terrain race, starting on the Bowes Railway Path near Monkton Business Park in Hebburn. The fast and exciting route follows gravel and tarmac footpaths through countryside and parkland, before finishing back at the Business Park. There is also a 2km junior fun run, which starts and finishes at the same point, heading 1 km out and back along the Bowes Path. Race headquarters, registration and awards presentation is at the Cock Crow Inn.

The provisional date for this year’s Cock Crow 5k is Tuesday 23 July 2019. Entries will open online in May.

5km race start is 19:15. Junior fun run starts at 18:45.

There are prizes for first three male and female finishers along with veteran (V-35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 70), plus team prizes.
