UKA Race Licence Number 2019-36272. Run under UK Athletics Rules.

The Cock Crow 5k is a 5 kilometre multi-terrain race organised and delivered by Jarrow and Hebburn AC. The race starts on the Bowes Railway Path near Monkton Business Park in Hebburn and follows undulating gravel and tarmac footpaths through countryside and parkland, before finishing back at the Business Park. There is also a 2km fun run for juniors and beginners, which starts and finishes at the same point, heading 1 km out and back along the Bowes Path.

Race headquarters, registration and awards presentation is at the Cock Crow Inn.

Start times: 5km race start is 19:15. Junior fun run starts at 18:45.

5k race entry fees: £10 for affiliated online entries, £12 unaffiliated online entries, £13 entries on the night.

2k fun run fees: £3 per person, on the night only.

There are prizes for first three male and female finishers along with veteran (V-35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 70), plus team prizes.

Car parking is provided at St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy, Mill Lane, Hebburn NE31 2ET. Please look out for event signage and marshals along Mill Lane. There is very limited parking at The Cock Crow Inn, but this is prioritised for race officials, volunteers and pub customers. The nearest Metro stations are Hebburn and Pelaw (1.5 miles each) or Fellgate (1.6 mile).
