Be an Athlete
Jarrow and Hebburn AC welcomes athletes of all abilities, from near-beginners to former Olympians. Whether you want to run socially or train and compete, we have training groups to suit everyone, and our coaches take pride in helping all members achieve their athletic goals and realise their potential. We welcome athletes of all ages, with thriving junior and senior groups, inclusive of athletes with disabilities. Our main club nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays, but other sessions take place throughout the week.
If you would like to find out more and try out a session, please fill out your details in the contact form below and one of our coaches will be in touch. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our sessions soon
Be a Coach or Volunteer
Our coaches and volunteers are vital to the ongoing success of our club, which could not exist without their time and dedication. If you are interested in taking the first step on the road to becoming a qualified coach, then speak to Andrea Fyall, coaching representative on the Club Committee. You may already be qualified but want to take your coaching skills to the next level. Jarrow and Hebburn AC will support you along the way, with advice and assistance with the costs. Coaching courses and webinars are organised and delivered by England Athletics, so please have a look at the information and resources available on their website.
Volunteers are involved in every aspect of athletics, from timekeeping to marshalling, arranging travel to and from events, and being part of the Club Committee. We are always looking for new and enthusiastic volunteers at the club.
