Club Vest
Jarrow and Hebburn AC compete in a yellow vest with a navy-blue diagonal sash, famously worn by ‘The Jarrow Arrow’ Steve Cram when he set the mile world record at the Bislett Games in Oslo in 1985. The colours are adapted from the heraldic shield and horse racing colours of the club’s founder, Sir John Jarvis.
Club members participating in any race that has granted a discount on the basis of club membership (and hence affiliation with England Athletics) must wear club colours. Members must also wear club colours wherever it is required by the rules of an athletics competition they are taking part in. Most local athletics competitions, including those organised by the North Eastern Counties, Northern Athletics, NEMAA (Masters) and the North East Harrier League, require club vests to be worn by all participants. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification. You are not required to wear club colours at parkruns or fun runs which do not have an athletics permit, although you are welcome to do so.
If you are a new member of Jarrow and Hebburn AC, you will need to purchase a vest before you can compete for the Club. Current club members may also need to replace their vest occasionally. To buy a vest, please speak to your coach, who will check the stock available in the club house. If a suitable vest is available, they will take payment and provide change. If not, they will order the correct size for you and advise once it is ready to collect. Vests cost £17.50 each and sizes available are between 28 and 48.

Club training kit
Jarrow and Hebburn currently has two suppliers for training kit: Sprinters and Bolam Sports.
Sprinters provide training vests, t-shirts and long-sleeve shirts, including hi-viz kit for autumn/winter training. They also provide a range of club-branded merchandise.

Bolam Premier Sportswear are a local company, based in South Shields, who provide kit options including navy track tops, track bottoms, hoodie and t-shirt
All items are available in both Children and Adult sizes.

You can pay the Club by cash or by bank transfer. If paying by bank transfer, please ensure you add a reference your order or we may not be able to process properly.
Alternatively, you can visit Bolam Sport in South Shields. They have sample sizes and you will be able to place an order with them directly.
